added some debugging.  still trying to resolve windows issues; cygpath didn't help since it can only do one path item at a time, and we are trying to translate variables like INCLUDE and such.  may need to revisit that since INCLUDE resolves to something sensible already in shell?  in any case, cygpath can either process a path (which doesn't actually seem to work) or process one path into a dos form of the path, but not both.

moved the top-level and probably most important feisty meow variable from the seeming utterance of a moron, "DERRRR", as in FEISTY_MEOW_DIR, to a more reasonable word that means the top of something-apex.  so this top level variable is now FEISTY_MEOW_APEX instead.  acme would have been closer to the root of the alphabet, but we don't want to infringe on wile coyote's favorite business's marks.

fixed complaint during recustomize when nothing exists in custom yet.

moving to a better name than FEISTY_MEOW_GENERATED for chewed scripts folder.  too many things are mentioning generated, so this is now the FEISTY_MEOW_LOADING_DOCK variable.  urgh.  other changes to add -p to mkdir for making parents also.  better checking in whack build and stopped attempting to redefine crucial variables there if not defined, since that's bad news.

changed language before .o files to say building rather than compiling (since a cpp or c file is compiled, not the .obj)

cleaning up old production directories now, so upgraded feisty doesn't have crud left.

a ton of changes to fix the production directory.  formerly this directory $FEISTY_MEOW_DIR/production was a mix of source code, library files and generated objects, logs, and executables.  yuck.  now the production folder is just source and libraries.  there is now a new runtime directory for all the generated content, like the apps produced during the build.  this directory is located under $TMP in order to avoid polluting the same directory tree that feisty meow lives in.  this will also support system-wide installs better.

updated to be a bit more useful; now has a list of file types to scan, including perl bash python and java.  iterates reasonably across multiple dir parameters and should handle weird space inclusions etc.

removed the zapem at top, since we don't know the machine doesn't have other gffs containers running.

improved spacem method to handle unwritable names better (where perl was not happy renaming a file that contained a pipe character).  now weird character replacement happens before the lower-casing, so it works a lot better.
